January: The Invisibility of Intersex Folks in Sex Education It is widely unknown that people with differences in sex development (DSD) typically have the worst health outcomes out of the entire LGBTQIA+ community. This is due to a lack of intentional inclusion of this population in sex education and LGBTQIA+ organizations, the stigma surrounding this identity and the trauma caused by non-consensual cosmetic surgical procedures during infancy and childhood. This workshop covers the basics of differences in sex development (DSD), how visibility for this community can benefit everyone, and how to be intentionally inclusive in your sex education lessons for all ages. Wednesday, January 29th 6-7PM ET |
February: What the Folklore?!: Sex Ed Updates There has always been folklore about sex, but did you know that sometimes it becomes part of our education? This webinar will cover the overlap between sex ed and folklore, how to use folklore to grab students' attention, and put to bed any lingering whispers still found in sex ed classrooms. Wednesday, February 26th 6-7PM ET |
March: Teens, Tech + Tinder Today's youth are navigating adolescence and the challenges of living in a technology-rich world in a way previous generations had never experienced. Participants will leave with what young people need to know about cyber bullying, sexting, porn literacy, sex trafficking, and "sextortion".
Thursday, March 27th 6-7PM ET |
April: Navigating the Sexual Response Cycle Many people are unaware of what happens in the body during sexual arousal and activity, known as the sexual response cycle (SRC). In this webinar, participants will learn about the four stages of the sexual response cycle and its relevance to consent and pleasure, provide rationale for the importance of understanding and educating about the SRC and address common myths that cause widespread harm.
