Understanding the effects that current and past trauma can have on young people is crucial to creating safe and supportive learning environments for all students. In this introductory webinar, we will begin to define the types of trauma, describe the traumatic experiences that young people might face and explore areas of sex education that may trigger past trauma in students. Finally, we will identify resources that educators can access to help create trauma-informed learning environments and continue their professional learning on this topic.
