David Guirgis
Bio
David Guirgis carries over five years of experience in local, statewide, and national politics, bringing with him a wide range of writing, digital, and communications skills. He currently serves as the senior communications advisor for Council member James Solomon, who represents Downtown Jersey City on the Jersey City Council.
As a ghostwriter and speechwriter, David has written in the voices of President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Senator Ed Markey, among others, and has offered communications consulting and graphic design services to national figures and electoral campaigns. Throughout his career, he has been able to work on high-level media and narrative consulting for top national and local progressives, build an acumen for press narratives and story pitches, and develop relationships with key political reporters in the New York, New Jersey, and national media markets in the process. His ghostwriting and story placement skills have resulted in clips with The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Nation, among others.
David graduated from Northwestern University in December 2019 with a B.S.Ed. in social policy. He will be graduating this spring with a M.S.W. (Accelerated Policy Practice specialization) at the Columbia University School of Social Work.
