Sexual Anatomy and Response: Getting Under Your Skin

One of the most common questions sexuality educators hear is a variation on “Am I normal?” Regardless of the ways a person’s sexual anatomy looks or feels, most people feel insecure at some point in their lives. This can be particularly true during the teen years, when bodies undergo big changes.

It is a disservice to children and teens when we use euphemistic language for genitalia and perpetuate myths about sexual anatomy and response. An understanding of one’s anatomy and response provide a foundation for learning about other sexuality-related topics, such as pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease (STD) prevention.

The goal of this online workshop is to increase knowledge, comfort, and competency for health education professionals working with middle- and high school-age students regarding sexual anatomy and response.
