Teen Editorial Staff

The teen writers of Sex, Etc. believe that all teens deserve honest, medically accurate and balanced information about human sexuality, so that they can make responsible choices about their sexual health. They and Answer believe that teen-to-teen communication is one of the best ways to educate teens about human sexuality and sexual health.

The staff’s goal is to reach millions of teens with positive, balanced and medically accurate information about sexual health, so they can help reduce the high rate of teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases in the United States. To reach this goal, the Sex, Etc. teen staff writes stories for the Sex, Etc. Web site and national magazine, and partners with other national youth media, including MTV on its award-winning think: Sexual Health campaign.

The Sex, Etc. national magazine and Web site are written by the Sex, Etc. teen editorial staff and national contributors. The teen staff brainstorms ideas and writes stories with fact-checking and editing assistance from Answer staff. Published three times a year since 1994, the magazine is available by subscription and distributed through schools, clinics, health centers, libraries and community organizations.
